Abstract

As a main objective, this study seeks to operate an industrial bus by visible light instead of the electromagnetic spectrum used by Wi-Fi, and thus achieve equal or higher speeds, minimizing energy consumption and electromagnetic interference. The research aims to determine the impact of the integration between the industrial standard RS485 and Li-Fi technology on the operability of a cyber-physical system, considering the performance parameters of latency, capacity, reliability, and power consumption.
